How to find the perimeter of a square ?

Perimeter of a square = Sum of the distance of all the sides                                                                                                     
                                   = AB length + BC width + CD length + DA width

But in square; All sides are equal in length. 
So; AB length = BC width = CD length = DA width.
if  DA width = a;

                                       =  a + a + a + a

  Perimeter of a square = 4×side length
